** Roar on the Shore 2012 **

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Odyssey Builders, Inc. and the other 25 local area subcontractors and equipment suppliers that built our new motorcycle dealership. The combined efforts and cooperation among each of the businesses and their workers resulted in the completion of the 45,000-square foot, state-of-the-art facility in only 80 days and enabled us to open our new store in time for this year's Roar on the Shore bike rally. Our staff had a great sense of pride as they welcomed motorcyclists from around the country into our new dealership, and we all enjoyed the repeated comments from the visitors that the facility "was one of the best Harley-Davidson dealerships that they had ever visited." We truly appreciate the continued support of our customers and the Erie community, and we look forward to and even more exciting future in our new location.

It was indeed a pleasure to have the Odyssey Team working in our building on our lower level renovation project. David Harms and Mark Woodel were always very professional and skillful and showed great pride in representing the company well. We are quite pleased with the workmanship of all Odyssey employees and subcontractors involved with the project and very happy with the final product. In addition to the quality of the professional work, we remain grateful for the generosity Odyssey has shown to the Children's Musuem throughout this project. By working with us in so many ways to keep the project costs within our budget, you and your team have shown meaningful support for our mission of enriching the lives of children - and we are grateful. In fact, we would like to commemorate Odyssey Builders' role in the renovation of our new lower level with a special handprint tile project, and I'll be in touch in the near future with more details.

The Formtech facility was completed on a fast-track basis with many design build aspects, and the project included 76,000 square feet of production and warehouse spaces, with 4,000 square feet of office space and full site development.

The renovation and expansion of the Asbury Woods Nature Center was part of $3.7 million in capital improvements at Asbury Woods Nature Center and Greenway. The project included the renovation of the 1931 Behrend Cottage and a 7,800 sq. ft. “green” addition. In addition extensive site work included storm water detention, utility upgrade, all new parking, sidewalks, driveways and site landscaping.

We are especially proud of the environmentally sustainable “green” features including a “green” vegetative roof, geothermal heating and cooling, passive solar heating and lighting, re-use of existing site and historic cottage , extensive use of recycled materials and on-site lumber, reduction and recycling of construction waste and native plant landscaping.

We were very pleased with Odyssey Builder’s cooperative approach in facilitating the construction of this unique project.  From the top down, Odyssey Builders met the challenge with great skill. A good example is the vegetative “green” roof which required unique layers of waterproofing, edging, support and drainage.  Odyssey worked closely with our team of architects, landscapers and roofing suppliers to work out on-site solutions to make this beautiful roof work at our location. Another case was in the use of on-site lumber sawed on site from trees that had to be removed for construction. Odyssey worked with us to find the most appropriate use of the wood and advised us on how to best dry, plane and treat the wood for this use.

The Odyssey crews went above and beyond in helping us to protect 70 year old trees inside the construction site.  I was especially impressed with how they helped our staff salvage 28 roof trusses from an old garage to be re-used in a new maple syrup sugar shack.

Continued growth of our practice has led to the need for additional and reconfigured space and each time that we have undertaken such a project, we have turned to Odyssey Builders.  From the initial design phase through demolition and work construction, to follow up, we have been more than satisfied with the work performed.

The quality of the work is matched by the professional demeanor with which the workers carry out their tasks.  Attempting to work around and with our schedule always proves a challenge, but Odyssey and their workers were always willing to accommodate our needs and structure their work schedule to allow us to continue to be fully operational.

We have utilized Odyssey Builders for many years at the office of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Inc..  including our 12,000 sq.ft. 3-story expansion onto our existing building.

Throughout the entire building process we were pleased with the professionalism shown by all members of their team. Through weekly meetings we remained updated with each step of the process.  We would recommend Odyssey Builders to anyone who needs to have any type of construction done.  I do not feel that you would be able to find a group of people with more integrity, honesty and reliability than that of Odyssey Builders.

Dear Tom,

I just wanted to let you know how pleased we all are with the entire Minerva project.  You and all of the subcontractors, foremen, etc. have been wonderful to work with.  Both Sam and Chris were always so helpful and kind. I always felt that you treated me with respect and honesty and did your best at all times to ensure our happiness in all situations.

If any problems arose, you immediately let me know and were right there to offer suggestions and , most importantly, solutions.  It has meant a great deal to know that you had our best interest in mind throughout this entire project.  Your organization, reliability, and integrity have made these past few months quite a pleasure.

I also want you to know that the owners and myself will be sure to recommend Odyssey Builders in the future.  Thank you for all your hard work and commitment.

A note of thanks for another Odyssey project successfully completed.  The new building is certainly a reflection of the quality workmanship and standards of Odyssey Builders, Inc.

We are all excited about our expanded space and the ability to grow.  Every aspect of the new building will hopefully enable us to better meet the needs of our patients.

Mr. Brad Shirley far exceeded my expectations as a project supervisor.  His personal and professional commitment to this project was obvious from the onset and never diminished.  Attention to detail was a rule for him not an exception.  I thank you for the opportunity and the privilege of working with someone of his caliber.

Until the next project……..
